Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the MeteoGrid app or Climabots services. By downloading, installing or using the app you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
MeteoGrid is developed and operated by Climabots, a company registered in the Slovak Republic. Contact: info@climabots.com.
These Terms govern your use of the MeteoGrid mobile application (Android and iOS), the web portal at meteo.climabots.com, and any related Climabots hardware products or services.
Climabots grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use MeteoGrid on devices you own or control, strictly in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the platform from which you obtained the app (Google Play or Apple App Store).

MeteoGrid is free to download and use. Certain advanced features — including the home screen widget and CSV data export — require a Pro subscription or a valid Climabots hardware activation key.
Pro features purchased via in-app purchase are processed by the respective app store (Google Play or Apple App Store). All billing, refund and subscription queries related to in-app purchases must be directed to the relevant store. Climabots does not handle payment processing for in-app purchases directly.
A Climabots hardware activation key is a one-time code bundled with compatible Climabots hardware. It unlocks Pro features for a single device and is tied to that device once activated.
MeteoGrid includes an AI weather assistant that communicates with third-party AI providers. To use this feature you must supply your own valid API key from one of the supported providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq or Google). Your API key is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to Climabots.
When you send a query through the AI assistant, the app sends your message and the weather station data you have selected as context directly to the AI provider using your key. Your use of the AI assistant is also governed by the terms and policies of the AI provider you have chosen. Climabots is not responsible for the content of AI-generated responses.
AI responses are informational only and should not be used as the sole basis for safety-critical decisions.
MeteoGrid displays live and historical data from Climabots personal weather stations, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) automatic station network, and third-party forecast providers (Open-Meteo). Data is provided as-is for informational purposes.
Climabots makes no warranty that weather data will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate at all times. Weather data should not be relied upon exclusively for safety-critical decisions, agricultural operations or emergency planning.
Threshold alarms perform background checks approximately every 10 minutes when the app is installed and notification permissions are granted. Alarm delivery depends on device connectivity, battery optimisation settings and operating system behaviour. Climabots cannot guarantee timely delivery of every notification. Do not rely solely on MeteoGrid alarms for critical safety applications.
If you purchase Climabots hardware, additional terms may apply to the hardware sale, warranty and firmware updates. Contact info@climabots.com for hardware-specific terms.
Firmware is delivered over-the-air via HTTPS. Climabots reserves the right to update, modify or discontinue firmware features. Continued use of the hardware after a firmware update constitutes acceptance of any changes.
The MeteoGrid app, web portal, Climabots name, logo and all associated content are the intellectual property of Climabots and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
MeteoGrid does not collect personal data. For full details of how the app handles data, please read our Privacy Policy.
The app and all services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Climabots does not warrant that the app will be available at all times, free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Climabots and its directors, employees and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the app or any related services — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits or property damage — even if Climabots has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Climabots's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Climabots in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic.
Climabots may update these Terms at any time. The current version is always available at climabots.com/terms. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
